The process of building and creating each set was exhaustive and no expense was spared. From procuring the best costumes in France, to hiring the best craftsmen available, The Musée Conti Wax Museum is more than a simple museum made of wax, it is a New Orleans Institution and a museum in every sense of the word! Few people know that the design of the sets was under the direction of price winning interior designer Charles Gresham who also designed such New Orleans institutions as Brennans Restaurant, The Pontchatrain Hotel, Commanders Palace Restaurant, The Royal Orleans Hotel, Broussards Restaurant and The Prince Conti Hotel.

For over 40 years the Musee Conti has taught young and old alike the curious and often fantastic history of New Orleans. In keeping with this lively tradition, the Musee Conti opened a banquet facility in 1996 for private parties and special events. This banquet facility can accommodate 300 seated and up to 500-reception style. In addition, The Musée Conti is proud to announce the addition of a traditional New Orleans courtyard in early 2005.

Private parties are the specialty of the house - from fun, funky, and yes, elegant - every event at The WAX is well remembered. Your guests can wander the mysterious halls of The Wax while sipping their cocktails, have their cards read, enjoy the spectacular exhibit or simply adjourn to the beautiful legend room for an elegant seated dinner and / or cocktail reception.
